In the OP's defence, when I was a child, I was among many (I later
found out) who thought Buzz Aldrin was the First Moonwalker Neil
Armstrong because Armstrong went to the moon only to become a virtual
hermit on TV. Buzz? I saw him all day long and somehow assumed he
was de man. Buzz acted all heroic and Armstrong damn near acted
ashamed.

Must have sucked for Brigadier General Michael Collins, to be the
space taxi driver for the two famous guys and never go back.

Musta sucked bigger for Apollo 10's Cernan, Stafford, Young to get
within 8.4 miles of the Moon and go back home as a practice swing.

Ask yourself this: if you and your lunar landing partner believed
you'd never get another chance at a moon shot, would you have set down
just for the pure fuck of it?

"Houston, something's shorting out and we need to set down, go outside
all EVA and figure this out. Hello, Houston, our radio went dead."

He he he he

And hold hands and BOTH put your feet together on the surface of the
moon? Moon bros! Screw you NASA! We don't need no Nixon phone call.
We are famous bitch! Well, that would never happen. True Company
Men.

Ah, well, astronauts USED to be so psych tested and trained that they
could do calculus falling into the mouth of a volcano.

America sure went to hell after that.

Imagine that hysterical space-vagina Lisa Nowak, The Bimbo Shuttle
Astronaut, who raced cross-country wearing Depends to threaten her
astronaut boyfriend's girlfriend, ever passing a psych test for
getting on to Apollo.

Space just went to hell, just like America under Republican Nixon.
NEVER recovered. But then the American Stock Market ALWAYS performs
better under a Democrat. Republicans are too busy getting corporate
welfare...and yes, howling AT the moon.

:-)))
