Hi Posters and Lurkers,

I got the package Friday February 6 evening and got the first
disk into the machine this afternoon Sunday February 8.
The two disks and book are enclosed in a slip case about the same
size as
the Season one case for the 3 DVDs in separate cases. DVD cases are used
for the disks rather than the smaller Bluray cases. And I must approve as
it makes filing simpler. Another slipcase or two and I will have a
shelf full of
Genshiken animation.

I am impressed by the quality of image and translation. The
opening song is
translated as well and clearly is aimed at Hato's situation. I suppose the
animators found Hato to be the most spectacular character for the anime
and built the whole thing around Hato's early adventures in the manga.
All the other Genshiken characters to date show up in this season aside
from the one gamer that Kousaka beat at Saki's urging.

I am really glad I bought the set which is two disks and a very
thin 64 page
hard cover book entitled "Genshiken Second Generation Ulitimate Fan Book"
which it is featuring a Character Gallery, excerpts from the manga and a
catalog for figures of the whole Genshiken group all with date TBA,
some priced at about 810 Yen and others price and date both TBA.

9 episodes on disk 1 and several mini-episodes under Genshiken
Discussion
topics in Extras. The mini-episodes are hilarious.
4 episodes on disk 2 and 3 trailers for recent Bluray releases.
Full credits on both releases.

I would buy it again. but with Genshiken I am always happy to
have spent the money. By the way with the Genshiken, Genshiken 2 and the
OVAs included in the Kujibiki Unbalance series and these Bluray disks
I count 40 episodes of Genshiken animation.

bliss
