Well guys, Gauntlet is fading into obscurity for our school.

Yesterday, our best player plunked down a quarter for Wizard and got
to level 100.

Undoubtably, you don't believe a word I am saying, but let me tell you
about the higher levels.

First off, Mark had every attribute, speed, armor, fight power, shot speed,
shot power, and magic power.

After level 80, players can move off the screen on treasure rooms.

This effect is kind of cool, until you find that you are hopelessly lost
on the other side of the maze while the rest of your party exits.

Mark got to 1,000,000 points & change, and level 120 or so, and then
just gave up and sold the game for a quarter to somebody else who wanted
to play.

The levels don't get any tougher, they just repeat over and over and over.

Also, the tricky level where there's lots of food in a little section of
the lower part of the screen? You can't get to it. There are no shootable
walls, and no traps. It's just a mean programmers joke.

It's too bad, the game would have been a lot better if there was an exit
at level 100 or something, but nothing at all happens.

Return path: I don't know, do you really expect me to keep track of
	      these things?

One million is nothing.
Level 100 is nothing.
Your player quite too early. At level 116, ALL LEVELS start wrapping
aound on ALL 4 sides. This makes playing someone who relies on potions
(Elf and Wizard) Much Different--Not necessarily harder (some are), but
different. It also means that there will generally be welcoming committies
around to say hi.

From levels 200-230 or so, the 'players can go off-screen' applies to
REGULAR, as well as treasure, levels.

After 230 or so, every level can randomly be one of:
Stun
Hurt,
or Normal.
The bad thing is that the warning messages are incorrect; you have to check
the ouch way at each level.

Oh yea--when this last thing occurs, the auto-wrap stops. I wonder what happens
around 450 or so.

And if you find wizard to be a piece of cake, try valkery. And the others.
Valk's the hardest; I prefer warrior. (Personal opinion)

Oh yea--ANY treasure level can be 'off-screen'. But, if you only have
one player, ...
