Yesterday I picked up a new copy of "The Home Accountant" by Arrays Inc./
Continental Software. It said on the box "Atari 800/800XL/130XE Version so one
would assume that it used the extra memory of the 130XE, right?? Wrong! It
does not even have DOS 2.5/Ramdisk on the disk. While that is easy to fix (and
was done promptly), I do not know how to fix the other problem. I thought that
it would utilize the ramdisk so as to stop all of the reading/writing back and
forth between disks and the computer. But no, it still sits half the time
reading or writin between the CPU and the program disk and the data disk.
GRHH! Also my original version had a reinforcing ring on the disk, this does
not even have that. At least this time I am supposed to receive a duplicate
disk when my warranty card reaches them.

On another note: how easy is it to take label files created by the old Atari
"Maillist" program and convert them to files for the "SynFile" program? Is it
merely a matter of setting of a file format which looks identical to that set
up by Maillist or what? I can see why at times the Atari is known as a game
machine, if you try to do anything else, the lack of documentation or software
upgrades is enough to drive you up an electronic wall.
