some days ago I received an used Apple ][ which contains a Franklin Disk
Controller Card. This one:

face%20Cards/Disk%20Drive%20Controllers/Franklin%20Disk%20Dr ive%20Contro

I didn't receive any documents with it. There are some jumpers, but I
cannot recognize the real function. You can insert 2 jumpers on the
right (as seen onto the pic) and one on the left position. You can set
pin 22 (A9) and pin 23 (A8) of the EPROM (2708) to low or high. Why?
Switch the firmware?
At the keyboard end you can recognize two potis. The signal ends in the
LS123. Some kind of timing to adapt to various kind of drives?
Is there any documentation of this card available? I couldn't find any
:-(
TIA, Ralf

Probably 13 or 16 sectors selection.

There's three jumper settings: 13-sector (1/2), 16-sector (3,4) and diagnostics (2/3). More specifically:
13-sector - $A0 thru $A7, and $A8 or $100 thru $1FF
16-sector - $A0 thru $A7, and $A9 or $200 thru $2FF
Diags - $A0 thru A9 or $300 $3FF
No idea what's occupying $0 thru $0FF. The card doesn't seem to address it, at least according to the schematic diagram.
It's been years since I used the card. Diags basically shows that the card is selected and booted, but doesn't fire up any connected drives.
