It's easier to build in space since there's no gravity to make the
thing fall over. :-)
Of course Space Dock's need to be large since they fit the starshipos
inside them for reapirs and maintenance.

Yep, that wopuld be right ... but there is also the much bigger Super
Star Destroyer (as seen in The Empire Strikes Back) which can fit
normal Star Destroyers in it's docking bays.

The standard Imperial Stardestroyer is about a mile long.
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Imperial_I-class_Star_Destroy er
The Eclipse class was a LOT bigger:

Yep, I didn't bother working out the exact conversion, but the standard
Imperial Class and Imperial Class II are 1.6km in length. There's also
an older, possibly slightly smaller, Victory Class.
The Super Class Star Destroyer is 8km in length, but also wider and
deeper. Then the Eclipse Class Star Destroyer, which was much bigger
again at 17.5km in length.
Plus there's the smaller Interdictor Cruiser (600m) and from the
Prequels the Venerator Class (although technically not called a "Star
Destroyer").
Then of course there's the Death Star (120km diameter) and Death Star
II (160km diameter).

LOL
Normally I would have come with metric figures in stead of Imperial, but
since the Wars verse is based on Imperial style measurements I made that
choice.

Officially.
In some Star Trek vs. Star Wars debates the Pro Wars groups have claimed
900 km. for the Death Star II.

That's semi-true.
The Death Star II is listed as 160km in all of the original Star Wars
reference / resource books, including "The Essential Guide to Vehicles
and Vessels" (http://www.galacticempiredatabank.com/DeathStarII.html)
The problem is that some fool later decided that wasn't good enough and
tried to change it, as Wikipedia states
(http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Death_Star):
"Behind the Scenes
According to the Star Wars: Incredible Cross-Sections
fact book, the first Death Star in A New Hope was
160 kilometers in diameter. According to the Inside
the Worlds of Star Wars Trilogy fact book and
detailed scaling of the station in Return of the Jedi,
the second Death Star was 900 kilometers in diameter.
Some Expanded Universe sources state much smaller
figures 120 kilometers for the first Death Star and
160 kilometers for the second however, most of the
evidence argues for the larger sizes."
The official StarWars.com doesn't give any sizes, simply "the size of a
small moon".
