No promises, but I think the indy game shop on the way home from my
workplace has a loose copy. No box or manual. Do you want me to check for
you, and what are you willing to pay?

I pay up to 7 $ for genesis carts. I don't like to pay any more than
that.

LOL. That's one of the few I would be willing to pay more for. Still
not willing to shell out $30 for it on ebay or whatever. It isn't
like you need you the cart to play the game. It's available on
multiple systems now.

Does it not seem unfair that the only person that can beat the game
can't get a cart?

I stopped by the store to check, and they don't have a copy. If they did,
they'd want $14 for it, which is twice what you're willing to pay. The
store's run by old Navy guys who scour the yard sales and flea markets
looking for stock, so I can keep checking if you want. It's not like I
won't be there anyway. :)

Well, that's alright. Thanks, anyway. I definitely wouldn't be
willing to pay that much for that particular game. My rule for
genesis stuff is pay top dollar for the best titles and pay little for
the rest. I'd rather spend $75 for m.u.s.h.a. than spend $15 a pop on
5 unknown titles.

Hey, you can knock it but my strategy has worked pretty well. I'm up
to 160 carts, assembled over a period of about 6 years. I figured it
out to something like an average of 5 carts a month. It's a little
tougher now that most of the local stuff dried up. Then again, it
doesn't matter because there aren't may games left to acquire.

160 games and you don't feel there's anything left, that's any good? Are
you sure you're not some Nintendo fanboy undercover or something? Wow...;)

$$25 to $30 is about the price point on that one, even with it being
available on another platforms. I managed to pull off $25, how, I don't
know, but it happened. If you can live with cart-only, though, I could
almost see it at around $20. Then again, looking over the Completed
Listings on ebay, one just went for $23(complete)...

If said person didn't go around saying that the Genesis is maxed out at
160 games, I would be more inclined not to revel in it. ;)

LOL. It isn't maxed out. I'm just not interested in various genres.

I actually tried storing them all in one of my dresser drawers a few
weeks ago. It was perfect: open the drawer and there they all were
with their names facing up. That lasted about 4 days. The bottom of
the drawer caved in. The little buggers were too heavy :)

You ought to look in to something like I've got going:

http://whipassgaming.com/Weekend%20Projects/genesisstorage.h tm

Cassette storage units also work well, if you ever come across one you like.

I've actually managed to complete my collection of those things. It's
really pretty nice. They have Nintendo 64 versions of them too, if
you're interested. I have one, just because I don't own more than 24 N64
games(the N64 one holds 24, the Genesis holds 36).

I need to get my ass in gear and make a video of the collection, now
that's it's finished...just have to find the time.
