Just a possible word of caution. I just downloaded the latest
TenFourFox, 17.0, and it hangs on opening, even before a window opens.
Redownloading now, and will update after a redownload.
Running 10.4.11 on a G5 and have had no problems with previous versions.
Of course, having no problems with previous versions, I overwrote the
version I was using with this version before testing. Oops.

Redownload did not help, still freezes before a browser window opens.
YMMV

I'm using it on my own quad G5 without issue (I test it on my quad G5, my
iMac G4, my Sawtooth G4 and my iBook G4). Is there anything in Console.app?
Have you tried starting it in safe mode (hold down Option as you start it)?
If you want to return to a previous version, you can always get them from

I did download 10.0.11 and it runs fine.
I tried starting 17.0 with the shift key down. It ran through the
checking compatibility of add ons screen and after that closed is
when it hung. Same result as when I first started it up.
Checked console.log, system.log and crashreporter logs and I see no
entries that correspond with the time that I had the problems.
Following plugins installed:
11.5.8r612 (flash)
AmazonMP3downloader 1.0.16
Citrix Online Web Deployment 1.0.39
Coupons Inc Mac Safari coupon Printer Manager 2.0.2
DivX Web Player 1.4
Flip4Mac 2.3.8 2.3.8.1
QWuickTime 7.6.4
Shockwave Flash 10.1.85.3
SilverLight 1.0.30715
Thanks,
Len

It's the Option key for safe mode.

Please disable plugins. They're not supported or tested with it, there is
some evidence that changes in Firefox 17 impair compatibility with them
(in 18 they don't even work at all), and I won't accept bug reports on
plugin support.
