As well as watching the series in 1983-84, I've got the DVD's as well.
(I liked the "Starship of the Mind" (or whatever it was called) sections.

"Imagination" I think.
It also had a great musical score.
It really showed a love for science and a respect for those scientists
of the ancient world as well as 'our' civilization.

That was the other term in my head!! Still, doesn't Imagination occur in
the Mind??

Cannot say I've noted this before the last couple of nights!!
The posts in this thread are being cross-posted to three news groups,
talk.origins, alt.startrek and alt.tv.star-trek.tos .
It seems that if I respond to the NG via the alt.startrek post, the
From: address shows as news@fx13.iad.highwinds-media.com and the sender
shows as "news@darwin.ediacara.org" (which is not me!!) in both the NG's
that I read, so I'm guessing it shows likewise the third group
(talk.origins).
As alt.startrek a moderated group?? (Cannot say I've noticed this change
of address before the last couple of days!!)

It does. It is a /part/ of the mind.

Afaik that is most definitely NOT a moderated group. I think that goes
for most of the 'Alt' hierarchy. It is a free territory that 'polices'
itself. If you don't like a poster or a subject? Just ignore it.
Don't know about talk.origins. Never heard of it.

How stupid of me!! If I reply to a message from
news@fx13.iad.highwinds-media.com and the sender shows as
"news@darwin.ediacara.org", that's how it will appear in the reply.
So now I have to reply to a message from my via alt.tv.star-trek.tos to
see if I'm me!! Stand By!!
Daniel - yes, it really is me!
