The latest draft of the script for the new instalment in the Star Wars saga is complete, according to director J.J. Abrams.

Speaking at the TCA tour, he told the Wrap, "We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep. Full steam ahead, y'know." He also confirmed that the new film would not be shot in IMAX, partly because of the noisy and "unreliable" cameras, and they don't contain a large amount of film.

Although he wouldn't be drawn into discussing all the rumours circulating about actors for the new film, he did confirm that he has had talks with Breaking Bad star Jesse Plemons.

The rumour is that Abrams wasn't happy with Arnt's original script
because it concentrated on the new generation. Abrams' new script
apparently now concentrates on the original cast (Luke, Leia, Han) for
Episode VII and introduces the younger generation who will take over as
the main characters in the next two movies.
