I recently was at a store in the Chicago area which was taking layaway
orders for the new model 2 Intellivision ($159 ?) and the compute
r keyboard ($130).

The only info supplied was that the new model 2 was a slim design which had
1) 16k memory (i don't know the breakdown between rom and ram)
2) detachable controllers (I guess like the Sears model)
3) compatible cartridges (don't know whether this means upward compatible or what)

The keyboard stated
1) BASIC
2) 2K extra memory

(note the keyborad was like a VIC-20 rather than an Atari 400)

there was also mentioned of a music syntesizer in the future...

Has anyone seen any other info?
(Hopefully more detailed especially technically for us computer jocks)

Thanks!
