Anyone got a link to the Transactor articles on expanding a C64 to
1MB? My Transactors were mostly destroyed by water damage when in
storage.

Any thoughts on updating this hack with more modern components? Or
more than 1MB?

Craig Bruce has an archive of Transactor articles here:

http://cbm.csbruce.com/~csbruce/cbm/transactor/

Can't promise that the article you want is there though. Some issues are
missing from his collection.

One thing that put me off regarding that project was that, according to the
article, some 64s required a couple of the TTL ICs to be replaced with 74F
parts in order to avoid screen sparkle, and I never could find one of them
in the FAST version.

Or more than 512k -- the other half-meg simply consisted of an REU plugged
into the computer.

Sure. Should be able to interface a multi-gig memory card to the
cartridge port and achieve similar effects. Probably simpler than the
original.

That article's written by the guy who wrote the GEOS driver for the
Turbo Master / Master Adapter (Paul Bosacki). Anyone know what became
of him? Does he still work with computers?

He also did gateWay for CMD.

He became a teacher. His students asked him, "Hey, are you the Paul
Bosacki that did the 1MB 64?"

Maybe a little. I haven't talked to him in a couple years. I've been
thinking I should give him a shout.

Is there an electronically readable version of the asm code in that article?
Typing that could give one carpal tunnel syndrome.
