Original song - recorded off a Youtube video of the MST3K episode with
GOLDWAVE out of my computer's speakers (after I found out that to record
audio the way I used to required changing the on-board REALTEK chip settings
to "Use External Software Codecs").

Has the record needle hiss. I was requested by a YOUTUBE member to help
them get the song, but since it had no real legal means of downloading I
figured this route would be best. Well, while I had the file open I figured
I'd tweak it a bit to remove the record needle hiss.

=======

This was the result.

This has the hiss removed and would probably be pretty close to a "clean
master" version of the audio.
It lacks some of the "haunting factor" that the hissy version had.

=======

So a few more tweaks. Changed the "room dynamics" to a bigger room,
added in a few subtle echoes, added in a slight reverb.
Gives it a bit more of the "haunting" aspect, am seriously tempted to
tweak that saxophone at 2:12 to 2:16, it kind of just blurts in there rudely
and should be a more gradual 1/2 volume increase lead in.

========

Figured it unkind to be stingy.
I also make no claim to copyright. Diane Mahree should've been a well
known singer / actress than what history gave her so far.

The song is shockingly inappropriate. Had it been about literally forgetting
someone (ie. amnesia), it would have been creepy.

Considering she committed suicide, it's hardly history's fault.

One more observation - the song seems to have been edited - it feels like
there was a long bridge with a sax solo that was removed to fit the credits.

It is just about the right length with the possible edit at 2:12 into
the song.
Too much longer (around 45 seconds) and the song would seem tiresome
rather than haunting.

I'll consider doing an edit to make the sax at 2:12 seem less of a
jarring interruption as it is now.

I don't think the sax solo would have made the song tiresome and all. A sax
solo there fits very well.
