In the season 7 opener ("Night of the Blood Beast"), the first host
segment features Crow doing some really fine trombone playing. To play
the trombone well, or to play it at all for that matter, requires
working arms. So in this segment at least, Crow's arms do work. And as
we saw in "Girl with the Gold Boots", his legs work well enough for him
to do some Go-Go dancing. In short, Crow is a more functional robot than
he is often accredited for.

Now if we could only give Gypsy some limbs ...

She did. She showed her mad kickboxing skillz on Tom in "Future War".

Come to think of it, Crow's operating arms were evident with his guitar
work on the "Sidehackers" song. So it appears that Crow's limbs become
operational when somebody plays music, and Gypsy's limbs spring into
action when somebody opens a can of whoopass.

Actually, doesn't that just really show that he has a fully
functional trombone?

Gypsy doesn't need limbs. She's got personality.

And a tendency to swallow Tom Servo. I'm still thinking about
that one.
