OK, so I'm old-school.

But TCM Underground is running not one, but two MiSTied movies
tonight. First up is 'Monster-A-Go-Go' at 2:00 Eastern. After that
is 'The Giant Spider Invasion,' starting at 3:15 a.m.

i think TCM would have been better off to show the giant spider
invasion first; i'm sure more than half of their audience fell asleep
during monster a go-go. that movie is flat-out unwatchable without
the MST3K treatment!

Boy. You know, it's not until you watch it un-MiSTed that you
really notice just how much *nothing* there is in Monster-A-Go-Go. I
mean, there's movies with a lot of nothing in them, but this has got a
*lot* more nothing than the average.

As, oddly, is "Robot Holocaust".

(Namely because there seems to be a communal pouring into the pot of
MGM/UA back-catalog going into Hulu, digital download and ThisTV, of the
exact same indie B-product salvaged under their Orion label.
And while this means we can finally watch American Int'l Roger
Corman/Vincent Price movies more easily again, it's rather odd seeing
the Dark Wan available in 720p HD unMSTed without commercial
interruption...)

"Monster-A-Go-Go" is akin to a thin narration script with a bit of
dialog, put into a blender, mixed with liquid polyurethane, and whipped into
a large low-density undigestable foam.

And a little while after GSI started, AMC showed 'Earth vs.
The Spider.'

Derek Janssen (sorry, forgettable episode, but Trace's Peck-deliveries
crack me up every time)
