So, I had gotten the first half of the first season of _Voyage
To The Bottom Of The Sea_ as a Christmas present from my brother-in-law
and his wife, and I've been getting to the episodes not quite as fast
as I would like.

Anyway, I come to the final episode in the set and it's, after
about twelve episodes spent secretly shuttling around heads of state of
those generic Latin American banana republic/dictatorships or vague
Arab-Indian-Australasian kingdoms they finally got around to the one
where they have to secretly transport the President of the Whole Entire
United States.

Even if it wasn't coming right off of the Mysterious Elderly Guy
With Vaguely Mystic Powers Who Happens To Be Around On Christmas Eve
story (with 'John' from Christmas Island played by Carroll O'Connor and
playing that 'Minstrel Boy' song from the Next Generation episode where
the Cardassians got all huffy just because the Federation won't stop
murdering them) I'd have lost it when one of the Top Secret Government
Agency guys turns out to be ... Ed Platt.

And joining him on the medical instruments was John Hoyt, who
played the guy who wasn't actually legally Doctor McCoy in either the
first or the second pilot episode of Star Trek.

And directing, of course, was Gerd 'Your' Oswald. Who also was
director for an episode of the original Star Trek.

It's like they were aiming an episode to play right into the
Bots' various interests.
