Hello,
I an using Joe Forster's StarCommander 0.82.5.
I have a XM1541 cabke connected to a 1541 drive.
CBM4Win (with gui) works great, no problems.
WinVice 1.21 also works fine with the cable.

When I try to use Star Commander, it just hangs.
I'm using Win XP, and the Bios is set to ECP.
The other bios settings don't seem to work (bi-directional, EPP, ect.).

Right now, I can't pull up Joe's homepage on the browser.

Any suggestions or comments on this problem would be welcome.

Thanks in advance,
Wayne Andrews

The Star Commander was developed for truly old DOS, as
so name Operating System that people used to use before
Windows was invented.

If you ever see a chance to do so, please get a DOS
bootdisk, create a bootable DOS CD or some bootable
USB stick with DOS as boot option and then start
from there.

I know, Joe Forster is working on a Star Commander
version that sits on top of OpenCBM, but I don't
know, if there is a beta version of it publicly
available since, as you said, Joe's site is currently
not available so that I can't check out.

Please be patient, his site was never away for more
than a few days.
