Hi Doug. It's not just the Mega's - every ST keyboard I've took apart has
only had a single in there. I've not had my STacy's keyboard apart though.

Whenever I've used the "TT Touch" keyboard upgrade from Best Electronics,
I always fill out the space bar on regular ST's. Makes it much more stable
IMHO.

I'd say with springs, go for it - you can always take them back out if
you don't like the way it feels or it just won't work.
