to copy the files across properly.
Tried MNib but it all got a bit complicated as it wouldn't read my PCI
parallel port then it wanted DPMI then it wanted a swap file on the C Drive
which I couldn't give it because I'm W2K/NTFS.

Any other way of managing this?

Thx for any advice.

The Warp-25 disks are not standard CBM-DOS encoded, so you can't copy
them with SC (at least last I tried). MNIB will work but you'll need a
combo parallel cable (XAP/XEP/XMP) and a DOS environment.

Good question! I know I have Warp*25 compatibility testing in my to-do list,
I just didn't have time to do it. Please, switch to warp transfer mode and
select "Sixpacked ZipCode" as the destination type (F7) in the "Copy disk"
dialog box (Alt-F5). Then the Commander will read raw data from the disk
(because of warp mode) and will put it in its raw format, un-GCR-decoded
into the destination (because it is of a type that contains raw data, not
"cooked"). Then you can use s2g to convert the sixpack into a G64 disk image.
Let me know if it worked. Have fun,

Joe

Yes, you are. I forgot to mention that the all-around disk converter is only
available in 0.83 beta releases, http://sta.c64.org/scbeta.html ... <8^) Bye,

Hi bluetreetop,

Try running both sc.exe and scmain.exe. IIRC one of them uses less
memory. Might also be a good idea not running SC from a cd rom, as it
probably tries to save the .ini configuration file on the drive it got
executed in (which of course wouldn't work). Correct me, Joe, if I'm
talking bullshit.

Regards,
Stephan

scmain works. Created a 'sixpack' OK.
Seems that S2G needs DPMI which is where I got in a bit of a pickle last
night.

I'm running off a CD because my system is W2K/NTFS. No problem with not
being able to save the ini file - I just redo my settings each time I use
SC.

Need to look a bit more into DPMI unless anyone knows of a Sixpack to G64
(or D64) that runs under Windows...

Loaded this into CCS64 and ..... it works!!!

Very satisfying. Thanks to everyone who has helped me achieve this.

Yup, unless you set the SC environment variable to the path you want all
the config files to be loaded from and saved into. ;-)

bluetreetop, please, do try converting the sixpack to a G64 with s2g, too.
(Get CWSDPMI from http://sta.c64.org/dosprg.html#s2g .) I'm sure Markus
would like to know whether s2g converts the sixpack correctly or not. Bye,

Joe
