practice ranger. But if I select veteran ranger it wants me to insert a
floppy disk to format. Also when I play some missions it wants me to turn
the floppy to side "B".

So two questions:
How do I simulate formatting a disk and how do I turn a disk to side B?
Thanks for helping!

Create a new .D64 image (or copy an existing one). It can contain anything
as long as it's the correct size.

The two sides of a floppy disk are considered seperate images. Just change
them around as if they were any other disk.
