A *lot* of fuckers have their own shrinkwrap machines on ebay now. I
cannot even tell you the number of fucking questions I get every time
Thai has me list something in sealed condition for RGA. People are sick
of it, especially people who pay $300+ for a sealed copy of whatever.
What I've always wondered though: Say you pay that kind of money for a
sealed game...you're not going to open it...ever...so how do you know
that it's really new, that the guy hasn't put four discs of Tohshinden
in your FF7 box?

Anyway, good job with Arcus...that game is so fucking awesome I nearly
nut every time I even think about playing it. That level where you're
cruising around on the turtle's back...classic. I love using that guy
who has the mace-like weapon(shoots it out then spins it around)!

Virtually every Renovation game came with a Warranty card...but I don't
specifically remember if it came with a poster. I swear that some
Renovation games did...but I just can't place it in my head. You may hit
FORS Yard and see if he has one scanned in...if anyone would, it'd be Greg:

I may have the Warranty Card for a Renovation game, but it'd be packed
away right now...

It's important to keep in mind that this was back in the days where you
could actually return a game...they'd just simply re-wrap it and sell it
as new(for the same price). If it was missing a poster, or whatever, I
highly doubt they'd notice...

I agree. The seller from whom I bought the game may be as much a
victim as I am.

Yeah, it's very possible. It all goes back to what I saying: Who knows
what's in one of those boxes until you open it. We've sold a few new
games ourselves, but had no real idea what was in the box. If you open
it, it's no longer "new, sealed" status...but there's just no other way
to see what's in it. Out of all them we've sold we've just had an issue
with one where it was, apparently, re-sealed the customer had told us.
Depending on the machine they use it, it can look damn-near perfect.

I know that both Babbages and EB Games pulled that stunt back in the
day, allowing people to return stuff and then just putting it back on
the shelf as "new". Then, of course, some of them started taking the
games out of the cases, storing them behind the counter and giving you
an unsealed package and still calling it "new". With GameStop, I
remember them even asking if they wanted you to have them re-wrap it. If
you did, they just ran to the back, did it and came back with the game
in shrinkwrap.

I am currently about to try my luck with a sealed game as well: Mortal
Kombat 3 on Genesis. A local Half-Priced Books has a sealed copy of it
for $19.99. That game has always held a special place in my heart, both
due to the actual gameplay and also what was going on my life, and
whatnot, at that point. The only way I'd be able to figure out if MK3
is, indeed, in there would be to open it...defeating the purpose.

It'll be the only game I ever really do this with...I've just never
understood the point in buying games ones has no intention playing. Then
again, I'm one of those guys who doesn't really care about a game being
complete either...I just want the cart, I want to play it.
