i just blew up the hospital and am in the ventilation shaft. but the
insectors shooting scene is too fast for me... i'm using kega fusion to
emulate it and am wondering if there is anyway to slow it down or
bypass the scene? or any other tips to beat the shooting scene? cheers.

What light gun settings are you using? Make sure your gun is compatible
with the monitor you're using, or just bypass that part of the emulation
and run your output to a real tube SDTV for the best results.

Wait, if he's playing it on Kega Fusion, he can't use a lightgun on the
PC monitor...or even plugged into the TV, can he? He can also just use
the controller setting for the shooting parts. IIRC, the shooting
parts, with a controller, are just hitting one of the 8 directions to
move the cursor into one of 9 boxes, then hitting a button to shoot. I
guess you could constantly hit Pause everytime one shows up, then hold
the direction of where it is as you un-pause, so your cursor moves
immediately...

pressing ALT enters the menu which is the only way i could find to
pause the game, but then you have to press ALT again to resume, then
move the cursor to the right box, then press the button to shoot.... by
that time they already shot me! i thought there might be a game genie
code or a slowdown option in kega or something.... does gens have
anything that could be useful?

Ah, I see...well, worth a try. :)

As far as I've seen(and I've used pretty much every Genesis emulator
out there), there isn't one that has a slow-motion feature. Even via
emulation, I've never seen a Game Genie code for SCD, so we're out of
luck on that one too. The only thing I could suggest at this point is
to maybe look over the FAQs for the game at GameFAQs. Maybe someone had
written down the order in which they appear or something:

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/segacd/data/563492.html

If not, just keep practicing. Are you using some sort of controller or
the keyboard? If you're using the keyboard, it's gonna be a lot
harder(imo)....
