I also say 'no' to net.sources.amiga. There's been maybe six or seven
real postings of source in two monthes. Hardly a flood. With all the
talk latly around the net of cutting back the number of newsgroups, I
feel it would be a mistake to try and create more at this time. You'd
only be encouraging those that want the net to be UNIX only again. By
keeping postings here, and in net.sources, we'll be keeping the
traffic high enough to justify the groups. Until we start seeing two
or more postings of significant source there's just no need. Also
let's poo-poo the thought of a BINHEX type format. It does nothing for
anyone who wants to learn from the postings. It encourages freeware
type distribution schemes and we don't need that on the net. Programs
posted to the net should for all to see. Otherwise it didn't belong on
the net. Freedom to hack up source, and learn from it... that's what
posting source should be about. 

I'm a registered developer but never heard anything about an Amicus
group. Where are they... and to whom do I apply for membership?
