When using Gmail I often get the error message that a Script is no longer
responding.
I tried turning off JavaScript but to do most of the stuff Gmail offers
(like putting stuff in folders, having it complete email addresses, etc.)
you NEED JavaScript.
Google Voice demands it too.

What causes this error?
How do I fix it?

These probably are scripts embedded or linked to in HTML emails, and they're not responding. note the error is complaining about the message in your inbox.

You can just click on 'Stop' when you get 'em.

You can enable the Developer's menu in Safari and see what script, exactly is the problem, by right-clicking on the page and selecting 'Examine Element'
