was, of course, by Cordwainer Smith. His works have been collected
in many places, and he has several novels.

He is also dead, but that shouldn't stop you from reading his stuff.

{C.S. is pseudonym, but I can't remember for what.  F. Something?}

Summary:

Cordwainer Smith's real name was F. Paul Linebarger. He was the
godchild of ... oh, hell ... that Chinese fellow who through out the
Manchu before the Maoists... Sun Yat Suen!! That's it!! -- so his
Chinese name was Lin Ba Lo.

The things that stick in your mind.

No, no...Cordwainer Smith was really Dr. Paul Myron Anthony Linebarger.
Later, before he died, his wife helped write some of the "Cordwainer
Smith" stories. Her name is Genevieve.
