I am looking for C and Pascal compilers for the C64. Similar requests have
appeared over the net in previous months, but I never seem to hear anything else
about it. I'm just getting tired of programming in BASIC and 6502 assembler
and think it's time to try out the C64 with higher level languages. Can
anyone out there help? Please send replies by mail or post on the net.

Thanks!

Call "C" anything you like, but don't call it a higher level language
than BASIC! Page ix of "The C Programming Language" by K & R says:
"C is not a 'very high level' language". Languages that take you further
from the architecture of the machine are considered to be of a higher level.
BASIC is a very high level language, since you are almost totally insulated
from the machines architecture.
