The book wanted by Dean Sutherland regarding the first non-human medical prac-
titioner from Earth is indeed Alan Nourse's _Star Surgeon_. An excellent book,
probably classed as a juvie when I read it in jr. high 20-odd years ago. Made
me want to be a doctor. (I got over it....)
