somtow sucharitkul is definitely male.  he is a soft spoken young man
and very pleasant to talk with.  i met him briefly at westercon 37?
(1982 in phoenix).

as to why the sequel to witches of karres has not been written james
schmitz died a few years back.  i wholeheartedly recommend all of his
work as good light reading.  they typically have a strong self-reliant
female protaganist and demonstrate that competence is the name of the
game.
