I've run into a problem with the SI program in the new version
of the Norton Utilities when a Talltree Memory Board is in the
system. Without the memory board, SI ran fine, both on my Leading
Edge PC and on an IBM PC. However, with the memory board in, SI
hangs the system while doing the check for memory. The only way to
fix this is to turn off the computer.

I called Norton's company to report the problem and talked to a lady
who said she would tell Peter about it. I called back later to find
out what happened and she said Peter said the problem was described
in the Talltree documentation. Unfortunately, she hadn't been told
where. I also called Talltree. Hadn't tried the new Norton Utilities
yet but, based on my description, recommended I change a setting
on the board. I did this but it didn't help.

I plan on following up on this and will describe how this was resolved.
My intention in posting this is not to complain about either Norton or
Talltree, indeed both companies seemed to be sincerly interested in
solving the problem. Rather, net readers should be aware of this problem
so they won't loose too much time tracing down this problem.
