i'm about to bite the bullet and get a personal computer
for home.  i would like to solicit suggestions about what
to get.  i want to get a machine with nice graphics
capabilities and am leaning towards the macintosh or the
mind set since they are highly touted for their nice graphics
and they are in the $2K range.  anyone out there with experience
with any of these machines?  i am particularly interested in
quality (reliability) of the hardware and programmability.
any other suggestions would also be welcome.
