I have seen his name in comics since he was doing fan art for
The Comic Buyers' Guide (the Alan Light years), and it
has always bugged me, since I've never heard anyone else
pronounce it in my presence.

(recalled the curiosity again when I was reading the
comics list and saw his name ^_^)

I don't know him, but I've talked to people who worked with him, and
they pronounce it to rhyme with "rice." Same as "Geis."

Ah, thanks. I don't know why, but for some reason that always bugs me
when I read someone's name and I hate to think I'm pronouncing it
wrong, even in my head.
