Prometheus, instigator of fecundity outside an overriding principle
and order -- for which, in banality epitomized by A4, a minion of
darker casts to Alien vrs Preditor -- is the resurrection of the
original navigator's predilections, in atonement to a narrow sexual
propensity of parasitical proportions, not least overlooked from a
striking prehensile figure entombed to an ominous chair over displaced
reckoning and forfeiture.

She going to be part of the colony that was decimated? Does this mean
she dies since we know only the kid survived?

Your proposal is acceptable over a ten-percentile strike-point on sexy
AI couplings, for such a time indefinitely ridden and to an instant
bunnies will concur to hedge over short variances exacted on ninety-
eight point, one eighty-three.

It's an Alien prequel, not an Aliens prequel.

Oh, right, nobody could've possibly made it back to Earth in the big
budget prequel.

Speaking to MTV on February 12, 2011, Fassbender stated the film was
still an Alien prequel, saying, "Prometheus is absolutely connected to
Alien... There's a definite connecting vein."

It still makes no sense. We have no evidence humans ever came in
contact with the Alien prior to Alien.

First Shipmate and Captain of the Prometheus, Riddler Scott, has
publicly said as much, that the "DNA" of Alien is integral to the
present mission;-- As are any contingent divestments to be within such
order, [& etcetera] under total forfeiture of alloted proceeds, as
outlined on charter provisions of Company fecundiary
responsibilities;-- principles and agreements, if you'll just shut
your yap for a moment and listen, that you signed before being
qualified to take on a mission parameters under a L-Class
Starfreighter. You got that straight now, goddamnit?

If we don't include the AvP films (and I wouldn't) you're right. And
Scott's dislike of them would suggest he isn't either.
But... in Alien Cain is added to the crew because the company know...
something. That doesn't prove no contact, but it doesn't disprove it
either.
We follow Ripley, and she's in the dark about what is or isn't known.
All we can say for sure is prior contact isn't public knowledge.

Plus, Scott has been expressing interest in the Alien Pilot's race...
maybe humans haven't encountered Aliens before... but they have
encountered other races.

The pilot navigator in the chair with evidence of having undergone
rigors from a chest-burster. A space vehicle carrying, indeterminably
in its cargo, eggs within an incubator-hold to regions of unknown
purpose;- although I have seen posits for not excluding prior human
contact -- if simply something isn't recorded or revealed by the
Nostromo expidition and now is to be given a clearer, expository
reason. As with time-traveling methodologies for impacting intent,
Ridley has also cryptically expressed some intended interest;- no
doubt adjunct absenteeism would necessitate that, since largely having
left the farside of film industry, in 1982 with Bladerunner, arguably
in deference to his not being typecast in the irony of its best
products yet to date.

Agreed--you should take that up at the next Star Trek convention.
In the original Klingon, of course.

Maybe but IIRC, Ash is programed to retrieve _any_
alien life forms he comes across.

Maybe, maybe not. Years later, nobody has any idea what
happened to the colony when they send in the Marines but
then one of the marine characters says; "another bug hunt"
so presumably, they've encountered other aliens thou not
THE Alien.

True, but he was specifically added to the mission at the last minute.
The point is: There is room for prequels, they aren't precluded by
anything we see, the events just can't be public knowledge.
