Subject: big day for a turbo fan!!

hey list,
greetings from a lte night here in tokyo. today was july 29th,
2004 and it was also the day my brand new turbo express arrived from
the states (my dad shipped it to me after it arrived at his place). oh
damn, i was soooo excited and i have to say that many people had
underrated this system which i had waited 14 years to finally play. i
expected a bad screen and really low res and a difficult to see screen
and stuff like that but i was blown away completely today- blown away
completely, i tell you. i originally had a heart attack when my dad told me he through out
the express box but it turns out he meant the FEDERAL express box, not
the TURBO express (BIG SCARE there). anyway, i went to the nerima
post office today and took a picture of myself holding the box i knew
it was in this morning. it was all i could i do to refrain from
opening it on the train (though i had to at least peek). when i got to
work at berlitz, half of the people there recognized the pc engine at
least while one guy there (one of the japanese staff) was a HUGE pc
engine gamer and new all of the games i had with me. anyway, i went
into the back and spent little time mulling over what to play first-
legendary Axe II and the sound ROCKS. i later tried power league III,
victory run, SCI (is this our CHASE HQ?), psychosis, and several more
and was thrilled with all of them. actually, i need some good news because when i powered my duo on
last night after a long dormancy period, i saw that my memory was gone-
aaaargh i was mad cause i was REALLY REALLY far in tengai makyou III.
oh well, at least it FINALLY gave me the room i needed to play might
and magic III (anyone ever beat this game?). finally, i also want to mention a note about the converter which
has replaced the kisado. it:s perfect. no problems to report. i:m
sure when i try it on my duo it:ll be fine. it:s the express i was
worried about. don:t hesitate to get it if you need a converter. well, that:s it from here. congrats to TZD for 10 YEARS of
unbelievable service and to Mindrec whose release of meteor blaster dx
is at hand. i can:t wait till mine comes in the mail! cheers, george
