Does anyone out there know how to use the CTTY command in DOS?
I want to control the PC from a terminal over phone lines. The manuals
over no examples of this command and my attempts have resulted in total
failure.

I've had success using CTTY over the COM port at 9600
baud. I recommend that you first try a direct connection
between the terminal and the PC (an RS232 connection without
modem) before you look for success over the phone. Especially
try crossing lines 2 & 3 on the RS232.

Plug your terminal into the COM1 and set the MODE accordingly
(see the manual if this isn't already familiar ... you need to
match protocols between the PC and the terminal ... baud, parity,
etc.) Get this to work ... and then change the baud to 1200,
or 300 depending on your modem, without changing any other
parameters.

Good Luck!
