It's to bad the site isn't more crawler friendly or you would be able to
pull all of the data down from the Internet Archive. As it stands, all
they have preserved of the site is page one of the list of games, and
the info page for each of those 30 or so titles. Everything else shows
that the crawler got MySQL errors.

I've known other people who have lost their sites like this and the IA
has been an invaluable tool in recovering data.

that's great for sites with static pages, however every single page on PCECP
was dynamically generated. the Archive is pretty much worthless for trying to
recover scripts that generate pages.

Plus the database of user accounts, game titles, cheats and reviews could not
have been backed up by archive.org.

I am going to give Glexicon one more week to produce the backup of the data,
after that it will be on to the next step.

That is awesome. Thanks for sharing the photos!

We do something similar in my neck of the woods, about four times a
year. Here are some more pics from our last gathering: http://www.digitpress.com/images/njclassic

oh man, those pictures are great! bomberman 94 is always a party
fave. i threw a video game party at work (in tama plaza just outside
of tokyo) in february. one day, when the students were gone, we
plugged in my dreamcast and got drunk to samba de amigo and dance dance
revolution. when my co-workers saw my pc engine though, they almost
had a heart attack because they didn:t think foreigners knew of that
system.
the other great party game of course is saturn bomberman. i wonder,
has anyone out there ever tried dungeon explorer 1 or 2 with multi
player? cheers from tokyo, george

I played DE2 on 3 player once. You ahve to share lives. It can become a real
handicap if you have one unskilled player that eats up all the lives.

Subject: I need a Turbo Duo!

Hi to all on the list. I've just joined the list and hope someone can give
some advice. About 6 months ago, in an effort to try to downsize my game
collection I foolishly sold my mint Turbo Duo which I had bought from Turbo
Zone Direct. I want to replace it now and I'm not having much luck finding
one.

Turbo Zone hasn't had any for a while now and worse still, their online
store has been down for at least a few days now. Anyone know if they're
still in business? Then I found Retrogames, but going by an archive search
of the list here, it seems they have mixed reviews. Is it safe to send them
a Paypal payment for one of their refurbished Duos? Of course evilBay is
there, but it's slim pickings right now for Duos and they usually seem to be
overpriced and if I bid on one, I know I'll just end up getting sniped, so
I'd prefer to stay away from auctions unless it's a Buy It Now. The infamous
Buy Rite has Duos listed on their site, but they're overpriced and I doubt
they even have any in stock. Anyone know of anywhere else to look?

Thanks,
