hey Listers,
i have some dungeon explorer related questions.

man, i used to love this game. i should never have traded it ages
ago so, question number one is, does anyone have this for sale? also, i have been loving my dungeon explorer II. i swear this is a
game that just gets consistently overlooked. i was wondering what all
of you think about DE II vs. the Sega CDversion which, i believe is
called DEIII in the closing credits. personally, and i:m trying to be
objective here, i like the Duo version much more. it has a much better
RPGfeel to it and i love the cinemas in it.
    about DE II-

1. any differences between the TG16 and PCEversions? i have the TG16
version but, being surrounded by PCE titles as i am here in japan, i am
wondering if the PCEversion is worth getting.
2. i am nowhere near close to completing this game but are there any
tricks i should be on the lookout for?
3. has anyone ever played this with 5 people(DE1 for that matter)? i
have played a three payer game on it and it is great.
     later, george

The TG16/Duo games i most often play....hmmm....

Top 5-

5. Coryoon- what a kick ass shooter this is
4. Bomberman 94- i:ve actually never completed this game. i should
put that on my list of things to do in japan 3. Implode- this game is great for a quick gaming fix. i think i
hold the all time score in the world on this game] 2. Bonk:s Revenge- this game will never get old
1. Magical Chase- i don:t own it anymore and i:ve never completed it
but what a kick ass game! GREAT music!

Subject: Gate vs. Lords and shooters in general

I swear that no matter how many shooters i play, nothing gets me pumped up=
more than Gate of Thunder. i love my Lords (which may be a better game), =
Ikaruga, Border Down, MAgical Chase, and so many other shooters but, what m=
akes Gate of Thunder so great? PRESENTATION....MUSIC....SOUND EFFECTS...SP=
EED!!! =20

i have yet to play a level of any game that can consistently get me as exci=
ted as Level 6 (i can:t remember the name of the stage....DARK CITY?) of =
Gate of Thunder. that rockin music, the speed of the ship at the midpoint,=
and more. i don:t care what anyone says, nothing on the genesis or snes (m=
uch as i love those systems) delivers a more sensational 5 minutes. =20

so, all of that being said, i adore LORDS too. i often wonder which game i=
like more. i think GATE`s music is better. great closing theme. every t=
ime i hear that music (i have it on several of my music discs which i made =
at home), i think of my years as a turbo fan and gamer and of how i:d drool=
over it at Toys RUs. my favorite piece of Duo music ever for sure. as fo=
r lords, man, it:s got power, teeth, nuts, and again, can take on any compe=
titors.

so, as i stroll through i akihabara when i can, i:d like some opinions on o=
ther PC=E3=83=BBTurbo shooters please. i have never played Sapphire, Sprig=
gan 1 or 2, Rayxamber III or some others. i have played the Soldier Blade =
games, the zonks, dead moon (which i really enjoy), aero blasters (difficul=
t game), magical chase (does anyone NOT like this game)? so, shooter advic=
e, lords vs. gate thoughts, etc. please?

tell me about the music in the games i haven:t played and any other reviews=
 or thoughts you might have.

    thanks, george

I've played and beaten all 4 DE games, and DE2 is definitely the best one. I
think the reason it gets overlooked is becasue they only made 2000 copies in
English. Occam's Razor and such, the reason it's overlookd is because hardly
anyone's had a chance to play it to it's fullest extent.

(1) If you don't mind playing itin Japanese, go get the J version of DE2,
you'll see the difference instantly. It's impressive.
(2) There's a debug mode for DE1, that gives you infinite HP.
(3) I played 3 player once. Unless all your people are really good players,
you run out of lives too quick.. The novice in the group will eat up all the
extra lives. I swear up and down the game's easier on one player mode

What games allow you go access the ram on the Duo/Booster+/TGCD to
delete individual files? Chew-Man-Fu is the only one I can think of off
the top of my head that can do that but I'd like to find another.
