I have discovered some things that might be of interest.
(1) Atkinson has yet another feature in MacPaint that I have not
seen on this medium: if you hold down the command key while
selecting the 'Quit' menu item, the disks will be ejected and
the Mac or Mac XL will reboot! Cute!
(2) Some asked recently how to force a reboot from the floppy instead
of the internal disk on a Mac XL. While booting the MacWorks
disk, hold down the option key. You will see the microdiskette
icon instead of the 'happy Mac'; you then insert the floppy and
the Mac XL will boot from it. No 'Hard Disk' comes up though;
you probably have to run 'Hard Disk Install'.
