Subject: Turbo Duo Installation Website

Great news, I have made a simple webpage dedicated to modifying Turbo
Duos/TG-16. Check it out here:

http://www.geocities.com/duo_r@sbcglobal.net/

I have also posted the updates that Andy and I have made to the existing
instructions on the Turbo list pages for installing a country switch.
Please let me know what you think. I will be adding some installation
photos once I get my higher quality digital camera. There are already
many good Turbo web pages out there, so this one will mainly focus on
the switch install.

Also, if there is enough interest in this, I may do a bulk order on 8PDT
switches from a distributor for Senior Industries that I know. I would
only do this if enough people were interested in doing the install. The
price on the switches depends on how many we would order, so just email
me if you are interested. You can find the current part number for the
switch on my webpage if you would like to order that part on your own.

Here is the updated Country Switch instructions.

BT GARNER - can we update the Turbo-List???

Thanks again,

Erik

It's about time. I thought that game would be lost forever. I wasn't
really into the Tengai Makyou games (at the time the games were too hard
to read and understand, maybe I can do better now), but I was always
interested in playing them.

Anyway, if I remember correctly, Tengai Makyou 3 was announced around '93
or early '94 as an SCD. There was no other news other than "Hudson is
working on TM3". No pix or anything; not even the subtitle "Namida" was
known. As time went on, the Arcade Card had come out and was getting a
number of games and the next time I remember hearing about TM3, Hudson put
out some drawings of the main character "Namida". This time they changed
it from SCD to ACD. Still no game pix.

Probably some time in late '94 or so, Hudson announced that TM3 was going
to be a PC-FX game and actually showed a demo movie at a game show (Tokyo
Game Show probably). I've never seen the movie, but apparently from the
pix in the magazines, it showed Namida's face warping and distorting. I
think this was to show off PC-FXs hardware abilities.

Finally, i assume the project was dropped because of PC-FXs poor reception
in Japan coupled with the 2 "better" systems Saturn and PSX getting all
the hype.

So yes, Tengai Makyou did indeed have a true third game in the series. I
know people on this list call Kabuki Den "Tengai Makyou 3", but it really
isn't the third one. Kabuki Den is more of a side story. Apparently, the
Tengai Makyou on Saturn isn't an actual sequel either, but that's what a
friend told me that so I wouldn't know for sure.

Anyway, I'm glad Namida is coming out. I would have loved to see it on
the PCE especially since it was going to be an ACD only title. I'm going
to buy Namida for sure. As for Manji Maru, I might buy it, but for now
I'll just stick with the original. :)

Tengai Makyo 3: Namida was announced with the remake of Manji Maru back
in May. It's not new news really, GameSpot just may not have checked the
right sources. The Japanese site Quiter who first broke the story
mentioned both the remake of Maji Maru and the release of Namida.

www.gamesarefun.com has screenshots from the remake of Manji Maru, if any of
you are interested. I'm hoping that both console's versions of this game get
released here (My PS2's slowly going downhill, but I know the GC will still be
functional when this would come out).
