Does anyone know of a good and COMPLETE VT100 terminal emulator
for the IBM?? I have only been looking throught magazines, and
havent seen an ad for one.

Also, can anyone reccommend a good graphics card. There seem
to be a million out there, and I have no idea what kind to
get (I will be using a monochrome display at first, but will
get an RGB in a few months; and yes, I know the
card depends on what applications I will be using it for, but what
is good for general use?)

Thank-you for any info you can give me,

Dan O'Connell

We have been very happy with the Smarterm/PC products from Persoft, here
in Madison WI. We use both the VT100 (to talk to VMS and UNIX) and the
Dasher 400 (to talk to AOS/VS) versions. We use them for full screen editing
(vi, EDT, emacs, SED) and file transfer between hosts in text mode. Both
versions can support 132-column screens and error-free and binary transfer,
and there is a VT125 version, but I have not used these features/products.
I recommend them without reservation.

We have no connection with Persoft except as customers.
