Subject: Turbo games-co-op idea for the List

Hey List,
I've been thinking about the lack of walkthroughs available to us.
In addition, I'm willing to bet that there are a great many people on
the list who: a. have import games they can't play because of language barriers
   b. have import games which they have taken for granted

so, i'm thinking, we should select one game at a time and begin to
play through it as a list. we could walk each other through tough
spots via the list and all enjoy games which we might now otherwise be
able to. here's an example:
say there are thirty people on this List who have an RPG like Legend
of Xanadu. what we could do is select a start date (after deciding on
a game) and all play along at home without rushing through the game.
and checking in with each other and various chapter endings or
whatever. this way, all of us can enjoy the games and those of us who
have already played through can enjoy it all over again. think of it
as a class trip for the list. i propose this cause every once in a while, one of us gets stuck in
a game and it's virtually impossible to say "hey, i'm stuck at this
point in such and such a game. help me" it's difficult to recall
where a person actually is. but, moving together through a game would
give us all a chance to enjoy a game together and see how some of these
end. i, for my part have finished very few pc engine rpgs. the other benefit is that one of us (i volunteer) could take our
collective emails to put together a walkthrough of each game we
complete. there are just so many games out there to be enjoyed. i'm sure no
one here has completed tengai makyou iii (though i have gotten really
really far into it) and there must be many collectors and true gamers
who'd like to fully enjoy xanadu I & II, emerald dragon, and so many
more games. what do you all think?

I know what happened to this. The company that was localizing the game
could not get enough support. There simply was not enough interest. This
was to be the company's first title for a video game. They ended up not
entering the video game market after some of the people on top decided it
best to back out and stick to what they know.

Ys will be ported to the PS2 with enhanced graphics and sound. There was
another US company who had interest in it. I am unsure if they ever
acquired the license from Falcom and Digicube.

Falcom is working on a Ys VI (yes, 6!) though no specific platform has been
confirmed.

They are also working on a Ys 3 Eternal for the PC. This will be much the
same as you have seen in Ys Eternal.

::I would also like to know what happened to the English version of the
PC remake. Maybe I'll email NCS...::

I trade for most of my turbo stuff at http://www.gametz.com

Often people post sales in the forums as well, sometimes pretty
reasonable. Give it a look :)
