Yikes...yeah...good luck on that. Portable Duo? What in the heck are you
talking about? Are you planning on gluing a Duo monitor on top of the Duo?
If you were to work out the power requirements where you could take it on the
go, the whole setup would be something less than...erm...portable. It's kind
of like an Xbox with a screen and battery pack. Portable? Bah...the thing
weighs 800 pounds and you can't exactly walk down the street playing the
bloody thing.

My assumption would be that the attempt here is to make something like a
walkman with a screen. While it's an interesting idea, the biggest problem I
foresee would be needing some sort of skip protection. The Duo's not meant
to be held and moved around while being played, ya know...

ok, first of all, if you haven't already, take a look at my portable NES.

This is something like what I would expect the finished project to look
like.I'm not thinking interms of making it like a GBA. That was never my
intention. Besides, every system I've seen converted to portable that's in the
gameboy size range, i.e. hand held, always sacrifices something. Whether it's
screen size, battery length, or whatever, something is always given up that
could have made it a better system My intention is to keep the full
functionality of the system intact. It would be ment more to be a laptop or
table top portable system. Not everything HAS to be hand-held for it to be
portable. I wouldn't exactly consider laptop computers to be hand-held, but
they are considered portable computers none the less.
