I heard Atari used a Quadrascan tube for its asteroids game. What is this tube?
How is it technologically different from a normal scan tube. Is the game
scanned? I thought it was vector. What about the color tubes that came after
it : like Gravitar , Space Duel, Black Widow ,Star wars. What I want to know
is what kind of display technology is being used since I am impressed by the
quality. Also did you know that BATTLEZONE used a 32bit bitslice processor
for matrix ops in the game. (source : Chris Crawford).
