I have an Apple Disk ][ (for the Apple ][/][+/][e) that I would like to adapt
to run as the external drive on the new Apple ][c. I would expect the drive to
be compatible except for the cable. Does someone know if this is true? The
drive port on the back of the ][c uses a 19-pin D-connector. Is there a
company making adapters to connect the old 20-pin ribbon cables to the 19-pin
port? Or perhaps replacement cables for the old drives? (A lot of the wires
on the cable carry power, so I expect they dropped one of the power lines on
the ][c.) If not, does anyone know of a source of 19-pin D-connectors and
covers? (Preferably solder-type.) What documentation do I need to look in for
the pin outs on the ][c drive port? Thanks for the assistance!
