Hi -
Has anyone played this game? It's a CD-ROM2 based on the 1990 anime. I
played it for a while today, and essentially I'm this guy who walks around
and talks to people in a futuristic city. I talk to them in a DIGITAL COMIC
style, and keep asking until I see new options appear. I've also tried going
into the elevator, but I can't seem to access any of the levels except level
0 (which is where you start).
Can anyone help? I don't read any Japanese (except Katakana) so I have no
idea what they're saying, unless it's something like "ITEMU" or "SHISUTEMU"
(= "item", "system", from Katakana).
Thanks,
-barry

Subject: GAMESAVE FAQ update
Hello (again)!
I am updating my seven-year-old GAMESAVE FAQ. I'm in the process of adding a
number of PC Engine games; since I wrote the original in 1995, I have managed
to acquire many more PCE titles that I can add to the list...
Unfortunately, this is a LOT of work -- imagine loading up a PC Engine game
for the first time, with the only intent of determining how to save your game
or data. Could even be high scores! What I am asking is this - if you have
a few minutes, check your saved data files in backup. Please send me the
name of the files and the games they're for. I would be interested in
getting the size of these files, but that is NOT a straightforward task. The
FAQ outlines how to do this using either "Order of the Griffon" or "Falcon",
and it's a real pain in the butt... but it would save ME a tremendous amount
of time just to know which games definitely DO have saved data.
I've added an alphabetical listing of save files. I have found this to be
VERY useful, particularly when you're looking at the contents of one of the
storage areas of a Ten No Koe bank card, and don't have any idea what they
are. You can use this listing I've made to determine what game(s) they're
from, and what the contents are. I've got a complete set of US titles (so I
don't need help with those), and a handful of PCE titles listed. I'm adding
to the PCE data right now - I have about 250 PCE games (approximately 1/3 the
total number released) and I'd like to get them all included, even if they
have no saved data... just to show that they were checked.
If anyone would be willing to contribute some time to this - even if it's
just ONE title - I'd love to hear from you. I've been putting this off for
years, and really wanted to wait until I got a few more PCE games... but I
think seven years is long enough. Since the PCE Catalog Project is SUCH a
valuable resource - and I use it all the time to ID some of my PCE games - I
would like to add a little something to the Turbo files myself.
Thanks! This is a lot more fun than work, honestly! %^)
