If my memory serves me correctly....... Doesn't this "ADOL" character have
somewhat of a reputation for ripping people off? You can really tell the
market demand for Turbo/PC Engine memorabilia has dropped of when "ADOL"
starts having a Dutch auction!

I don't know if Hodos ever ripped anyone off; however, I personally had one
problem with him. I had made a deal with him to buy a certain game off of
eBay, and I thought the deal was stone. However, someone else made him an
offer for a higher price...after I made that deal with him for the lower
price...and he went and sold it to the other guy (luckily before I had
dispatched the money order to him...I found out just before I put the thing
in the post). The ensuing e-mail chain between him and I was hilarious...he
was so full of it. That goes to show you what kind of integrity the guy has.
Afterwards, I just went ahead and bought the game from someone else and
never dealt with him again. Every now and then, you'll find somewhat decent
prices with him...however, for the most part, his stuff has historically been
overpriced. Also, from time to time, his item conditions don't jive exactly
with the condition of the items themselves. However, he is famous for using
stuff like "Item is in gnarly condition" and the like (well...I may have made
that one up) without stating exactly what the condition (read: vague wording)
is and not really elaborating on it if you send him an e-mail. In the end,
you'd be better off going through guys like Matt Boehland or Paul
England...honest guys who stand behind what they sell and are willing to work
with you if the item isn't exactly what you purchased. 'Nuff said.

Subject: Converters !?!?
Hello fellow Turbo Listers,
I have a small question about the available converters that is offered
for the TG-16/PCEngine. A fellow member of another forum is looking for
a converter (who isn't), and in the Digital Press Guide, in the
TG-16/PCEngine hardware list, it is written that ITT made a converter
and it's rarety is 1/10, this means that it is very common and its
current value is $15US.
I was wondering how rare is this converter? How does it compare to
Dave's Kisado converter and, if it is very common, why don't we see any
in eBay or any other sites?
Take care and thanks in advance,
Joao Araujo.

Has anyone else noticed that Bonk looks suspicously similar to Dopey
from the Walt Disney movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? Perhaps
this is one of those "Separated at birth" things.

I've only ever owned one converter. It was a big purple affair, with a
large sticker on the top. It showed the converter being used on a PC-Engine
(ha!), and had a yellow star in the logo.
It was new, and it worked well, after I repaired it! It had come with a
broken pin inside, and it probably would have really pissed most people off.
As I was repairing it, I saw how it worked, and speculated that it could be
done with a couple switches inside the TurboGrafx. Years later, I came here
and found a guide on just that, but using only one switch, and that's what
I've been doing ever since!
So if everyone's real desperate, learn how to make your own!
