Hello;
As many of you know, the PCECP (PCEngine Catalog Project) was spun off
earlier this year onto it's own web site (http://www.pcecp.com). In
the last month we have doled out over 2.5 Gigabytes of data, but there's
still more to come. We have been listening to your feedback and making
changes (that most will hopefully perceive as improvements). And we are
now ready to start beta testing version 3 of the pcecp.com web site.
New features include:
o ability to create an account
o ability to rate games, and collectively get opinions
o game cheats (codes) are now tied to game data
o multi-lingual capability (*)
Coming Soon:
o Forums for game discussion (etc).
o Patch/hack data tied to game data (for language patches, homebrew
games, etc)
o Ability to add new cheats
o Game movies and music availabe for on-line viewing/listening
o Additional Game Systems will be added
If you are interested in helping out with testing all the new features,
and adding your comments into the fray for possible implementation, then
please let me know and I will get you a URL with username/password (the
site is protected at the moment). With this info, you can start hammering
away on the site (setting up an account, trying to break it, etc).
(*) although the web site is set up for multilingual support, we are in
need of persons who can help with text translation efforts. If you
can help, please let us know and we will set you up an account on pcecp.com
so that you can add text in varying languages. We currently need persons
who can translate and enter text in the following languages: French, Spanish,
Italian, German, Swedish and Japanese. If your language is NOT listed and
you would like to see it added, then again, let us know and we can add it
if you are willing to supply the translations.

Wow! This is cool! I've always wanted a central place to read reviews and
rate games ^_^.

Has anyone else noticed that Bonk looks suspicously similar to Dopey
from the Walt Disney movie Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs? Perhaps
this is one of those "Separated at birth" things.
