In working with some old documents, I came across a United States
Land Grant from the 1830s. I'd like to frame it, but it's been
folded up for 150 years. Any suggestions on how to flatten it
out without ruining it or smearing the ink? I'd hate to see the
signature "Andrew Jackson" melt away if I get the parchment wet
in an attempt to relieve the fibers.
