I understand that Ordoer of The Griffon is somewhat similar
to SSIs other early AD&D games (the 'gold box' series) on
the Commodore 64, Amiga, PC etc. What are the differences
and how do they compare? I really loved Pool of Radiance
on the C-64.

Subject: Dragon Knight II - HELP

Hi list members,

I have posted this help couple days ago, but I haven't find a solution to =
my problem in this game DKII yet. Would somebody be kindly engouh to help =
me out in this game. Dave and Daniel had given me some hints, but there's =
no Dragon Knight II FAQ or walkthrough on the gamefaqs.com, also the =
Dragon Knight II FAQ on the turbo-list file server is just a review and =
some hint in playing the game.

The problem is this...I got thru all 6 levels of the tower, but there's no =
boss anywhere and it seemed there is nothing more for me to do. I have no =
knowledge of Japanese, I just play it and guess this and that.

Is there any walkthrough for this game anywhere so that I could go and =
download it?

I also have couple questions to ask:

1) On the first level of the tower, the three rooms on the three corners, =
=3D
they seemed to be locked, how do I open them?

2) On the third or second level, there is a room behind a room with a key, =
=3D
it seemed there is no way I could access to it.

3) On the fourth level, there is a room that I couldn't enter thru because =
=3D
of a room before it kick me out all the time.

4) On the fifth level, how do I put the ruby colors to match with the =3D
color of the doors?

Thanks,
Hiro

Subject: Duo CD accessing problem

Hi all,
I'm kind of new to the list and was looking for some help. I posted this
problem on the pcenginfx.com message board and the consensus seems to be
a my laser going bad.
I just wanted to get a second opinion before I shell out the cash to get
it fixed.
I tried playing my (not quite legal version) of Dracula X (yeah, I
know... but I can't afford the original) and the Duo couldn't start it
up. I could hear the laser moving and it made a high pitched whining
noise (maybe of the CD spinning?) but it would error out and tell me to
re-set the disc or something. It used to work fine so this was very odd.
I then tried a normal disc and it worked perfectly, not even with the
whining noise. I tried cleaning the discs and even tried using a CD
cleaner on the Duo but nothing works. DracX won't work but the normal
games seemed to play perfectly. Well, not long after I was playing Ys1&2
and I got a really long abnormal load time when it tried loading an
area. At first I thought the game froze, but it came back after about a
minute.
Anyone know how I can fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

I guess that just makes it... okay then.
