Subject: Rising Sun help!!
I've been playing this one for a couple days now, and I simply cannot
win the "horse chase" sequences...the enemy commander always slips away
at the last possible moment. The manual suggested coming in on an
angle, which seems to work, but not good enough. This is keeping me
from making any significant gains, and is very frustrating...any help
would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Andy

The first import PCE game I ever got was Street Fighter II CE. I got
it, along with one of those green diving board convertors (thank God it
perished in the fire; what, with all the annoyances I've heard about
it) from Turbo Zone Direct back in 94, right before I joined the Navy.
I also got Bomberman 94 from this one importer out of Flushing, NY,
can't remember their name though.
The Navy stationed me in Japan, where I went hog wild buying PCE and
Duo games all starting with Aim for the Top! Gunbuster pt. 2.
The last PCE import that I've gotten (got it while back here in the
states a few months ago) was Kunio Dodgeball. But I want more! Much
more!!!
And as a little reply, Japan Video Games still does exist, they don't
carry much PCE stuff anymore (least I don't believe so.) Their URL is:

Not only in Japan do you find brand new games but in HK too (chances are they
were imported recently from Japan rather than being left over stocks in
warehouses).
Very true. I got a sealed Urusei Yatsura on my last trip to HK back in
97 (right before handover.) This one little shop in Wan Chai, Tiger
Toys, had a bunch of classic games and such. I should never have passed
on the PC Engine GT they had.

Subject: Game Soundtracks
Howdy list members, I'm writing this because my organization is
considering getting licenses for a bunch of old video game music and
selling soundtracks of old, obscure games that never had soundtracks
officially released. Obviously this would be a waste of time to do with
cd games, but it might be a great thing to do with a lot of turbo
cards. I don't know how many people on this list are into the music on
their turbo games, but just think of how cool it would be to have a cd
with the music from your favorite game (doesn't apply if your favorite
game is in the final fantasy series =) ). We will be doing soundtracks
for games from other systems too, lots of genesis and some nes, but I
figure this is the place to talk about turbo games. Please let me know
if you would be interested in buying any of this music when it does
indeed become a reality, you can e-mail me directly, or, if
appropriate, reply to the list. Here's a list of the turbo games I
would want to make soundtracks for so far, but you can obviously ask
about games you don't see here, this is just the beginning. Also, if
you want to know about games on other systems just e-mail me.
Blazing Lazers
Burning Angels
Coryoon
Cyber-Core
Dragon Saber
Dungeon Explorer
Honey in the Sky (was there already a soundtrack for this one?)
Keith Courage
Legendary Axe 1 + 2
Metal Stoker
Ninja Spirit
Psychosis
SideArms (card version)
Splatterhouse
Tiger Road
Tricky Kick
Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I would LOVE a soundtrack to
Bomberman '94. Keith Courage has a great OST as well. The problem with
Dungeon Explorer that I see is that DE2 had redbook arranged versions of
practically all the music from the first game, which was all MUCH better,
imho. Anyways, I think this soundtrack thing is a fantastic idea. Of
course, I'm a rabid game music fan and am still irritated the turbo got so
few CD releases. ;)

Its been a while since Ive played this
one but I would always come down from
the top and just about when my front
left side (of the horse) would hit the
enemies top right side, I'd swing the sword.
It takes a while to get the timing down,
but after you do you can get them 90%
of the time.
