I hate to be disagreeable, but the sieve program I posted earlier is
correct. If you look at the program you'll see that it is impossible
for 'prime' to be even. Perhaps you typed in the program incorrectly,
or the output was taken from the wrong place. To get the correct output 
insert

     printf ("%d\n", prime);

after the line

     prime = i + i + 3;
